THE HOSPITAL AUTHORITY of CLARKE COUNTY, GEORGIA (AUTHORITY) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1941 BY A RESOLUTION of THE BOARD of COMMISSIONERS of CLARKE COUNTY, GEORGIA (THE UNIFIED GOVERNMENT of ATHENS - CLARKE COUNTY, GEORGIA). THE AUTHORITY, A PUBLIC CORPORATION and AN INSTRUMENTALITY of THE STATE of GEORGIA, is ORGANIZED and EXISTS UNDER THE GEORGIA HOSPITAL AUTHORITIES LAW. ON JULY 1, 1995, ATHENS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, INC. ("ARMC") EXECUTED A RESTRUCTURING PLAN WITH THE ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY HOSPITAL AUTHORITY.
