WE FOUNDED CHILDRENS VOICE of NORTH TEXAS IN 2013 to HELP PARENTS JUST LIKE USPARENTS WHO WANT THEIR CHILD WHO is HEARING IMPAIRED to COMMUNICATE THROUGH LISTENING and SPEAKING. WHEN OUR DAUGHTER WAS BORN WITH SEVERE- TO-PROFOUND HEARING LOSS, WE WERE UNSURE WHAT to DO and SPENT THE FIRST SIX WEEKS TRYING to FIND OUT WHY SHE FAILED HER NEWBORN HEARING SCREENING and WHAT IT MEANT. WHEN WE WERE TOLD THAT OUR NEWBORN WAS DEAF (AND THAT IT WASNT JUST FLUID CAUSING A TEMPORARY HEARING LOSS), OUR MINDS RACED WONDERING WHAT to DO, WHERE to GO and WHO to TRUST WITH THE DECISIONS THAT LAY BEFORE US AS PARENTS and for OUR CHILDS FUTURE.
